RETURN POLICY
This Returns Policy (“Policy”) describes the policies and programs for returning consumer purchases of an Independa AnyTV Companion™ and its associated software by Independa, Inc. and its related companies (“Independa” or “We” or “Us”), the manufacturer of the camera, the remote control unit (RCU) and/or other related hardware. This Policy applies to purchases in exchange for consideration made on the Independa website and operated e-commerce site(s) available via www.Independa.com (the “Site” or “Sites”). It does not apply to “free” or downloadable elements of the Independa including, but not limited to, the Caregiver Web Application and/or the Caregiver Mobile Application.
The Policy differentiates among up to three different elements of the actual purchase, as follows:
- The Independa Software manufactured by Independa, Inc. and loaded on an Independa AnyTV Companion™ device, Independa mobile application running on an iOS-based mobile phone or tablet, or a Chrome-based browser running on a computer, laptop or tablet.
- The Independa AnyTV Companion™ device itself, internet TV Camera, Remote Control Unit, and other hardware elements manufactured by third parties.
- Physical installation and/or other services purchased in conjunction with the Independa AnyTV Companion™ device, which may have been provided on a fee-for-service basis by a local third party installer, delivery contractor, or other third party entity.
Software. Independa offers a 30-day satisfaction guarantee on software purchases. If a refund is requested within 30 days of delivery of the Independa AnyTV Companion™ bundle, any unused portion of the subscription will be refunded. Any applicable refund will be applied to the credit card used to make the purchase.
Hardware. The hardware components of the Independa system are fully warranted against manufacturing defects by their respective manufacturers. The terms and conditions associated with the hardware components are as follows:
Independa extends a 90 day limited warranty covering failure and manufacturing defects not related to mishandling or misuse on all hardware components from third party manufacturers purchased through Independa. You may call Independa at 800-815-STAY (Option 3) and we can guide you to the proper procedure for obtaining a warranty repair/replacement on any of the hardware.
Non-defective hardware in unopened, undamaged condition, including all packaging, accessories and components may be returned to Independa via prepaid freight for a refund within 30 days of delivery. If the 30 day period exceeds 30 days from actual purchase, Independa reserves the right to request a copy of an actual delivery receipt in order to process any refund. Any applicable refund will be applied to the credit card used to make the purchase upon receipt and inspection of the returned goods. Opened packaging, missing accessories, and/or any damage to any of the hardware components will result in deducting a restocking fee of 25%, and/or actual replacement cost of missing items, and/or outright denial of the refund request.
Installation and Services. Fees paid to Independa for installation services may be refunded in the instance of material non-performance of the actual service itself. Successfully installed products, completed consultations, or other services, including but not limited to circumstances where an installer arrived at the premises and could not complete the installation resulting from lack of performance or misrepresentation by the consumer are not subject to refund.
